Private In-home concerts
Hosting an Evening with Terry McIntosh
What Is a House Concert?
An intimate concert experience—right in your living room.
It’s less like background music and more like a private show where people gather to listen closely, connect, and share something special together.
Hosting a house concert isn’t about throwing a party… it’s about creating a moment.
Why People Love Hosting
- It creates a memorable night friends talk about long after it ends.
- You get to support independent music in a personal, meaningful way.
- Your home becomes a space where people slow down, listen, and experience the music together.
- It’s simple, low-stress, and completely handled by the artist.
What Hosting Looks Like
- You invite friends who enjoy acoustic, singer-songwriter, and listening-room style music.
- Guests listen during the performance (not background chatter).
- You provide the space; Terry provides the music, sound, lighting, and flow of the night.
The Best Audiences
- These evenings work especially well for people who love singer-songwriter music, indie acoustic artists, and concerts where the audience is part of the experience.
Space & Setup
- Living room, finished basement, or open space works great.
- Ideal audience size: 15–40 people.
- Chairs arranged toward the performance area.
- One nearby power outlet.
The Evening Flow
- Guests arrive, settle in, and mingle (20–30 minutes).
- Short welcome from the host.
- 75-90 minute performance.
- Time to visit, chat, and connect afterward.
Financial Model (No Cost to Host)
- There is no cost to the host. House concerts are donation-based.
- A suggested contribution is typically $20–$25 per person.
- Guests give what they can, and no one is turned away.
- The host is never financially responsible if turnout is lower than expected.
What Terry Provides
- Sound system sized for your room.
- Simple, tasteful lighting.
- Setlist pacing and donation reminders.
- Merch table with music and other items available after the performance.
- Professional setup and clean breakdown.
These evenings are designed for people who still believe music is best experienced together.
